Ruby Rose has revealed she ended up in hospital with two broken ribs after falling into her swimming pool, years after a serious Batwoman stunt injury.

The 40-year-old shared the clip on Instagram Stories and later reposted it on Threads with a blunt update from hospital.

In the video, Rose is seen edging along the pool’s ledge with a hose in her hand as she tries to spray part of her garden.

She then loses her footing and falls into the water, appearing to hit her ribs on the pool edge as she goes down.

Alongside the clip, Rose wrote: “RIP to my ribs, and the rest of my summer.” She added: “They are broken, multiple. Straight to hospital, did not pass go or collect $200”.

On Threads, she wrote: “One second I’m here talking to you. The next I’m in the hospital with two broken ribs. What a bloody Monday.”

Batwoman accident

Rose has previously spoken publicly about being hospitalised after an injury. In 2019, she was taken to hospital over a stunt while filming Batwoman.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she said: “We thought that I had broken a rib or just fractured a rib and that it was, like, six to 12 weeks of healing.”

She later said the pain was caused by two herniated discs, adding: “It was really, really terrifying.”

In an interview with TV Week, Rose said: “The memories around it were so bad that I had to put myself into a trauma facility for three months in 2021, so I could learn how to talk about what happened without fainting.”
