All eyes were on model Alex Consani at the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, with Harper’s Bazaar labelling the transgender fashion icon a “showstopper.”
Alex Consani, who made history as one of the first out trans models to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and won the Model of the Year gong, donned her angel wings once again on the Victoria’s Secret runway.
The model looked sensational in a red ensemble, including silk trousers and shiny metallic wings.
In another look she walked to Tate McRae’s “Sports Car” in a tinsel-covered silver coat and a lacy, black lingerie set.
In their article about Alex Consani’s catwalk performance, Harper’s Bazaar labelled her a “showstopper”, adding that she “(let) her undeniable personality shine through.”
Consani previously walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2024, becoming with Valentina Sampaio the first trans models to walk the show.
Consani lit up the runway dressed in a sky blue underwear combo with matching, plush angel wings – Victoria’s Secret signature accessory. Sampaio appeared in a deep brown knickers and bra set, complete with a netted skirt and giant bow on her back.
Their participation in the show followed a six-year hiatus, after disparaging remarks about the trans community were made by the company’s former chief of marketing Ed Razek.
In an interview with Vogue back in 2018, Razek suggested that trans woman – or as he referred to them, “transsexuals” would not be cast in a Victoria’s Secret show, stating: “Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy.”
In August, Alex Consani shared in an interview for Them Magazine that she no longer feels “embarrassed” about her identity, and now feels “powerful and strong” as a trans woman.
