Anti-trans activist Graham Linehan says he was arrested at Heathrow Airport in connection with a number of posts on X.
The 57-year-old ‘gender-critical‘ pundit said he was arrested after landing at Heathrow on Monday (1 September) and questioned over “three tweets.”
The Metropolitan Police confirmed a man in his fifties was arrested inside the airport at 1pm on suspicion of inciting violence relating to a series of posts on X/Twitter.
The individual, whom the Met did not name, was arrested after arriving on an inbound American Airlines flight. Officers took him into police custody, but he was later taken to the hospital over health concerns.
“His condition is neither life-threatening nor life-changing,” they said. “He has now been bailed pending further investigation.”
In an online blog post, reported by The Times, Linehan claimed he had been released on bail under the condition that he refrain from using the social media app.

He shared screenshots of three online posts that he was allegedly questioned about. In one, Linehan wrote that trans women should be punched “in the balls” if they enter a “female-only space.”
A second post from April featured an image of an anti-trans rally, with Linehan writing: “A photo you can smell.” In a follow-up post, he wrote: “I hate them. misogynists and homophobes. F*** em.”
Linehan has made similar posts in the past, responding to a post of a trans woman entering a toilet, writing: “You better hope I never catch you entering one.”
In at least three other posts, Linehan recommended that cis women “make a scene” if they see a trans woman passively entering the women’s toilets. He claimed the post was an attempt at a “bad joke.”
Linehan is facing separate charges of harassment and criminal damage and is due to go to trial on Thursday (4 September). He is accused of harassing an 18-year-old trans woman and damaging her phone during a conference in London last October.
