Fans think Frank Ocean finally labelled his sexuality in his latest Instagram story

People are speculating that singer-songwriter Frank Ocean has labelled his sexuality after he posted a cryptic Instagram story.

The “Thinking About You” singer, who has more than seven million followers on his @blonded Instagram account, shared a screenshot that appeared to be the result page of an online sexuality quiz.

“Overall: Bi: Homosexual-Leaning,” the screenshot read, alongside the infinity symbol and the rotating heart emoji.

The rapper provided no context to accompany the screenshot, meaning it’s unclear what it could indicate, but fans believe it relates to his own sexuality, which Frank Ocean has famously declined to label in the past.

One fan questioned on X: “Is he coming out as bi??!!”

“Who is this news for? Genuinely I’ve known this since 2012 I thought he was already out,” one person commented.

Another wrote: “Frank been telling us he gay since forest gump song , we get it baby ; we ALL gay, now where is the music or ya voice cause this man be so random.”

His Instagram story comes amid rumours that he is dating UFC fighter Payton Talbott, after the pair have been pictured together and Ocean was seen showing support for the fighter on social media.

“I didn’t need to label it for it to have impact”

In a now-famous Tumblr post from 2012, Frank Ocean shared an open letter in which he opened up about his first true love, who was a man.

Following the letter, he told GQ when asked about his sexuality: “I’ll respectfully say that life is dynamic and comes along with dynamic experiences, and the same sentiment that I have towards genres of music, I have towards a lot of labels and boxes and s**t. I’m in this business to be creative — I’ll even diminish it and say to be a content provider.

“People should pay attention to that in the letter: I didn’t need to label it for it to have impact. Because people realize everything that I say is so relatable, because when you’re talking about romantic love, both sides in all scenarios feel the same shit. As a writer, as a creator, I’m giving you my experiences.”
