Drag Race UK champion Kyran Thrax has joined season two of dark comedy-drama series Big Mood on Channel 4, alongside Munroe Bergdorf.
Though season seven of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is set to start its engines this month, the crown of its season six winner Kyran Thrax isn’t going anywhere soon.
Kyran, who beat out several other glamazons including Strictly Come Dancing‘s La Voix to the crown, announced 2 September that she was joining Big Mood, alongside Bridgerton‘s Nicola Coughlan and It’s a Sin star Lydia West.
“Surprise!!!! I’m joining the amazing cast of Big Mood for their second season on [Channel 4]!!” Kyran wrote on X.
“I was such a huge fan of the first season and to get the opportunity to come act alongside this amazing group of people has me ECSTATIC!!”

Alongside her announcement, Kyran shared her headshot, a picture of a Big Mood script and a picture of West and Coughlan.
Trans icon Munroe Bergdorf is among other names to join the show’s second season alongside the Drag Race UK winner.
The first season of Big Mood was broadcast on Channel 4 in March last year, and its official synopsis for round two reads as follows: “It’s been a year since Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West) last saw each other, without any contact between the best friends.
“When Eddie suddenly returns for a wedding, she isn’t alone — Maggie has competition, in the form of an infuriatingly positive spiritual healer named Whitney.”
The series was written and created by Camilla Whitehill, and directed by Rebecca Asher.
It also stars Robert Gilbert, Amalia Vitale, Eamon Farren, Ukweli Roach and more.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, filming for season two of Big Mood, which became Channel 4’s biggest new comedy since Derry Girls, has started production.
The upcoming six-episode season two will air on Channel 4 in the U.K. and on Tubi in the U.S. and Canada next year.
