Celebrity Traitors: Tom Daley’s steamy shower scene triggers massive thirst outbreak across the UK

Warning! Spoiler alert for The Celebrity Traitors episode three.

It turns out Olympic gold medals don’t protect you from murder on The Celebrity Traitors as Tom Daley found out last night (Wednesday 15 October).

The knitting pro became the second person to be murdered following Paloma Faith’s murder “in plain sight.”

Before he sadly “died”, Daley – or rather, the producers – treated his many fans to a shot of the athlete scrubbing himself down in the shower, which caused a lot of very thirsty reaction on social media.

One person wrote: “The gay intern in the edit suite adding in the tom_daly_shower_extendedcut.mp4 into tonight’s final edit new exactly what they were doing.”

Another fan said: “Celebrity Traitors showing Tom Daley showering for no reason at all, I appreciate the view.”

And a third added: “#CelebrityTraitors love how bbc production tried to get most out of #TomDaley before he was murdered too soon on the show by randomly adding a shower scene.”

Tom Daley references iconic “side-eye” meme

After last night’s episode Daley took to social media to share a brief video clip of himself. Wearing a long fur coat, no shirt, trousers and wheeling a suitcase the five-time Olympic medal winner walks into frame. he then says, “Well, I guess my flabbers were officially gast-ed.” He then pops his chest which causes his coat to burst open revealing his toned physique (again).

The moment directly references The Celebrity Traitors‘ second episode and the side-eye deemed worthy of an Olympic medal.

The iconic look happened when the group of 19 celebrities were taken to a graveyard for the ‘funeral’ of the first celebrity ‘murdered’ by the Traitors. When it was revealed to be Faith, Garraway exclaimed that she was “flabbergasted.”

Daley, who was already suspicious of Garraway, gave her the dirtiest side-eye we’ve seen in a long time. Later on in the castle, Daley expressed his disdain for the term “flabbergasted” to Alan Carr. “Who uses that word?” Daley asked.

Carr then replied, “You can’t just call someone a Traitor because they have a better vocabulary than you.”

Online, Daley’s hatred of the word “flabbergasted” and serious side-eye became an instant meme. “Tom Daley giving Kate Garraway gay side eye has killed me,” wrote one viewer on X, formerly Twitter. “Tom Daley deserves an Olympic medal for giving Kate Garraway THAT side eye,” added another.

The latest episode of the series also saw actress Tameka Empsom banished from the castle following YouTuber Niko Omilana. The Traitors – Carr, Jonathan Ross, and Cat Burns, all remain undiscovered but all have fallen under suspicion at various times.
