Queer Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns hilariously responds to thirsty sapphics on TikTok

Lesbian singer-songwriter Cat Burns is proving to be a popular Traitor amongst the TikTok sapphics on this year’s The Celebrity Traitors.

Cat Burns, who is one of the Traitors trio alongside Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr, has been the subject of multiple horny TikTok edits that lust over her devious Traitor tactics.

Now, the 25-year-old “go” hitmaker has reacted to the influx of edits with a TikTok of her own.

“How I feel watching all your edits of me when I’m just tryna put in a good shift being a traitor,” the TikTok’s text reads.

The video’s audio is a deep voice saying: “Ladies, I’m tryna do my work today, leave me alone type shift. Ladies!” Meanwhile, high-pitched cheers are heard in the background.

The fan edits range from labelling Cat “the best traitor” to a slow-motion montage of Cat laughing when fellow contestant actress Celia Imrie declares the Traitors as “f**king brilliant!”

Other edits include voted-out Faithfuls reacting in shock to finding out Cat is a Traitor. “That’s why [Cat’s] the goat (greatest of all time)” the TikTok caption reads in reference to Burns’ impeccable gameplay.

Burns released her debut album Early Twenties in July last year. She’s described her songs as “soul bearing” and “very emotional” to the BBC.

“But most people who know me personally know that I’m the least serious person ever,” she continued. “I laugh before I cry. I think people will see that side to me; the lighter side that doesn’t take things too seriously and is here for fun.”

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the game sees a host of celebrities enter the iconic Traitors’ Castle. They play the detection game in a bid to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Cat Burns is competing alongside some of the LGBTQ+ community’s finest, including Tom Daley, Clare Balding, and Stephen Fry.

Also in The Celebrity Traitors cast are Charlotte Church, Paloma Faith, Joe Wilkinson and Lucy Beaumont. Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, and Mark Bonnar.

Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Tameka Empson and Celia Imrie, David Olusoga and Niko Omilana round out the full cast.

Jonathan Ross, one of Cat’s fellow traitors, has shared he “didn’t actually enjoy” the experience. He added: “the lying of it genuinely made me feel increasingly uncomfortable.”

The Celebrity Traitors airs at 9pm on BBC1 and the iPlayer on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
