Trans woman ‘flooded with hate’ after Republican Nancy Mace shares her tweet

A trans influencer says she is having to move house after receiving a deluge of hate online following anti-trans Republican Nancy Mace sharing one of her tweets.

Influencer Sabre, who posts content on various social media platforms under the username Bottleneckloser, became the source of Mace’s ire when she shared pre and post-transition side-by-side images of herself on X/Twitter with the caption: “God I love estrogen.”

Three weeks after the images were originally shared, Mace – who has made a name for herself as a vocal anti-trans figure under the Trump administration – posted it to her official X account, writing: “Estrogen doesn’t love you.”

Further to this, the South Carolina representative wrote: “Can we get @RobertKennedyJr on this? NO way is this healthy.” RKJ is the US’s health secretary.

In response, Sabre published a reel on Instagram tearing into Mace.

“I had such a glow-up on HRT that I am now officially an enemy of the state,” Sabre joked in the video, adding: “A sitting member of the United States government went onto a random citizen’s Twitter account to bully them on a transition timeline they posted a month ago on her official Twitter account. In the United States of America, if you glow up, they will hate you.”

“So if you’re ever wondering why our government is currently collapsing, it’s because I’m too hot on Twitter,” she continued in a tongue-in-cheek manner. “I’m sorry.”

Trans influencer @Sabre spoke to PinkNews about going viral for calling out Representative Nancy Mace. Speaking to PinkNews, Sabre – who describes herself as trying to be the “resource I never had” – said: “I received a DM from someone being like, yeah, listen I’m really sorry about the Nancy stuff that’s going on right now.

“And I was like, who is Nancy? And then they sent me the post and I was just kind of f**king dumbfounded, seeing the official seal [on Mace’s X account], being like ‘oh, this is a member of the United States government’. And that moment of shock and like, oh, I’m being specifically pointed out by the United States right now.

She continued: “Everything just got completely flooded with so much hate. That actually led to me being doxed and so I now am in the process of having to move.”

Despite the hate she received after being targeted by such a prolific figure, Sabre said good things have come from the situation too.

“I feel like its really brought attention to the corruption that is happening, like why is a government official doing all of this?

“Shouldn’t see be doing something about hunger or homelessness?”

Also speaking to Newsweek, Sabre said: “This strange hyper fixation on trans people, similar to the red scare, is all an attempt at some culture war to distract people from class inequality, women’s rights, free health care, the rise of anti-intellectualism.”

She added it was insane that an elected official “used her official twitter account to try to shame me for being confident in myself.”

“The fact that taxpayer dollars are going toward this trans obsessed hack of a politician that spews slurs in a house committee hearings is a disgrace for our entire government.”
