All Stars 10 queen claims Maddy Morphosis was meant to be on the cast instead of this star

All Stars 10 competitor Nicole Paige Brooks has claimed that season 14’s Maddy Morphosis was originally on the cast – but swapped out with this iconic queen.

With a cast of 18 queens – the largest in Drag Race herstory – it was perhaps inevitable that there would be some shuffling around of cast members before the group got into the Werk Room in their brackets to impress a constellation of guest judges.

Normally, those movements are relatively unbeknownst to viewers of the show – but not if season 2’s Nicole Paige Brooks has anything to do with it.

Speaking on TikTok Live in a video that has now been screen recorded and circulated to X (formerly Twitter), Nicole has claimed that the cast was originally meant to include season 14’s Maddy Morphosis.

“[Production] sent us a list of names and there was a girl on there, and we were getting ready to read this girl [for the ‘reading’ mini challenge], and we got to the hotel – and she wasn’t there,” Nicole said to camera while doing her makeup.

And while she didn’t immediately confirm which queen she was speaking about, she then added that the star that didn’t end up making it to filming was a “drag queen that is also a heterosexual” – leading anyone with a half-baked knowledge of RuPaul’s Drag Race to pinpoint Give it to me Straight host Maddy.

Nicole continued that production bought a laptop to the cast’s rooms, saying, “This is the person that is going to be here, they were on season 17.” Again, very little detective work would lead viewers to realise that – allegedly – Maddy was originally meant to be on the All Stars 10 cast instead of one Lydia B. Kollins.

“They showed us videos, a couple of her runways, her reading Mistress [during the Villains’ Roast]. That’s how we met Lydia. On the internet,” Nicole said.

She later confirmed that the original cast member was indeed Maddy – and that production “wanted us to pretend we’d already seen season 17”, despite the fact that the season 17 cast had not even been revealed when the queens went off to film All Stars 10.

Despite production’s apparent wish for the queens to “pretend” they already knew Lydia, one of the girls on the All Stars 10 cast did, as mentioned by Nicole; Mistress Isabelle Brooks attended season 17’s Villains’ Roast, which just so happened to be Lydia’s sole challenge win.

Mistress has already said that she knew Lydia was “one to watch out for” when she saw her in the Werk Room.

Mistress and Lydia join Nicole in the ‘pink’ bracket of the All Stars 10 cast, which has been divided intro three groups for its ‘tournament’ format.

They’re joined by Jorgeous, Tina Burner and Kerri Colby. The ‘purple’ bracket consists of Acid Betty, Alyssa Hunter, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Daya Betty, Denali and Ginger Minj, while the ‘orange’ bracket is made up of Aja, Bosco, Deja Skye, Irene the Alien, Olivia Lux and Phoenix.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally from 9 May.
