RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 queen Ginger Minj has revealed that RuPaul’s legendary ‘ShakesQueer’ rant lasted “over an hour”.
Seventeen flagship seasons, ten All Stars, a handful of international iterations, several specials and vs. the World spinoffs later, and we can probably still count on one hand the amount of times HQIC (Head Queen in Charge) RuPaul has truly lost her wig at the girls.
There’s the legendary H&M rant from Drag Race UK, the time she had to come into the Werk Room on All Stars 8 to hand the girls their asses and, of course, Valentina’s infamous “I’d like to keep it on please“.
But before all of these moments could strut, one particular moment walked; RuPaul’s critique smackdown of the assembled queens after season 7’s ‘ShakesQueer‘ acting challenge.
As a quick recap, the challenge was a hot mess; girls couldn’t remember their lines, were messing up cues and when confronted on the Main Stage about it, blamed each other.
“I don’t wanna hear no god damn excuse anymore!” RuPaul sensationally hollered at the girls.
Ginger Minj, who has now competed on four separate seasons of RuPaul’s Drag Race, first appeared on season 7, where she placed as a runner-up.
She returned for All Stars 2, then All Stars 6 and now All Stars 10 – and during promo for the latter, revealed that while we only saw a few lines of RuPaul’s rant, it lasted a lot longer.
“That crash out went on for about an hour,” Ginger revealed while speaking to Entertainment Weekly. “She let those b*tches have it! Mother was mad.”
Ginger Minj is set to compete with the ‘purple’ bracket of queens in All Stars 10‘s ‘tournament’ format twist, alongside Acid Betty, Alyssa Hunter, Cynthia Lee Fontaine, Daya Betty, Denali.
‘Orange’ bracket queens Aja, Bosco and Irene the Alien made it through their preliminary round, and the ‘pink’ bracket of Jorgeous, Kerri Colby, Lydia B. Kollins, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, Nicole Paige Brooks and Tina Burner have one episode left.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 10 will be available to stream on Paramount+ in the US and WOW Presents Plus internationally from 9 May.
