A Pride parade held in IKEA has gone viral on TikTok, prompting the homeware retailer to share a supportive message in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.
A recent TikTok video posted by an account named “kenyavargas98”, was captioned: “This caught me off guard ya’ll”. The video shows a Pride parade taking place in an IKEA store.
The parade, set to Lady Gaga’s queer anthem “Born This Way”, featured Care Bears, rainbows, unicorns, and even a stuffed bear rocking a Pride-coloured cowboy hat.
IKEA staff waved Pride flags and smiled with joy as different floats passed the camera.
Text overlayed on the video reads, “came to IKEA and they had a Pride parade”.
The clip has been viewed over three million times, prompting IKEA to respond with a supportive Pride message: “We’re proud to stand for love, equality, and being who you are. Always. ”

Further comments praise the store for its inclusivity and apparent happy team, “The fact that there’s numbers on the floats means it was likely a staff competition,” one comment read.
Another joked: “This is actually really dangerous because it might slow me down and make me buy even more stuff that I don’t need.”
Even RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage commented, “YAAAAASSSSSS”.

Others had one question: “Where is Blåhaj?”
IKEA’s Blåhaj has become known as a symbol and signifier of the transgender community.
The polyester plushie, which is available online or in store for £22 ($28), has been a symbol of trans rights since about 2017. Its significance started on Tumblr, when users across the social media site began sharing memes of the shark.
At the time of checking, Blåhaj has 132 five-star reviews on the IKEA website, many of them odes to the shark and everything it has done for the community.
