Heartstopper wants fans to be part of the film – here’s how

Heartstopper is calling on fans to be part of the film in a one-off opportunity to head to the set of the hit Netflix series.

The small-screen adaptation of Alice Oseman’s beloved graphic novels is set to end with an eagerly-anticipated feature-length adaptation of Oseman’s sixth, currently unpublished, book.

In June, Oseman confirmed that filming was underway in a joint-Instagram post with production company See-Saw Films, writing: “We’re back!”

On Thursday (3 July), Oseman, along with the production company and Heartstopper’s social media account, announced that they are looking for fans to be part of the upcoming film

The announcement reads: “See-saw Films are looking for fans to join us on the set of Heartstopper. Are you 18+, and live near London? Check the link in our bio to learn more!”

The bio links fans to a Google document that states filming will take place on Sunday, 27 July.

Fans wanting to take part in filming for Heartstopper just need to fill out a simple application. Successful candidates will be “randomly selected” by 20 July.

Comments under the post make clear that a lot of fans are interested in applying.

One wrote: “TIME TO TRAVEL TO LONDON!!!!”

“Crying in America,” another fan shared, while another wrote “Omg!!! Testing my luck.”

Showrunners confirmed in April that the series charting Nick (Kit Connor) and Charlie’s (Joe Locke) relationship would end with a film, noting that filming would take place this summer.

A release date for the film is yet to be confirmed, though Radio Times writer David Craig estimates a “spring 2026” release.
