New Celebrity Big Brother Housemate and bisexual Tory MP Michael Fabricant has given the LGBT Conservatives a shout out before entering the house alongside Danny Beard and Jojo Siwa.
The newest series of Celebriy Big Brother kicked off last night (7 April), once again seeing Will Best and AJ Odudu welcome a fresh crop of stars to the celeb version of the original social experiment.
Alongside “Karma” singer and Dance Moms star Jojo Siwa, and Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard, one of the thirteen notable figures to enter the Big Brother House was Tory MP Sir Michael Fabricant.
Known both for his wig and for his position as the Conservative Party’s Member of Parliament for Lichfield, formerly Mid Staffordshire, from 1992 to 2024, when he was beaten by Labour’s Dave Robertson.
Fabricant, 71, entered the House to overwhelming ‘boos’ from the live audience during Launch Night – and took the time to clarify his sexuality during his introductory VT.
“I was very socially liberal,” Fabricant said of his time in power, adding “Many people think I’m gay. I’m not actually, I’m bi.”
He continued, “I was the first Member of Parliament to admit that [I am].”

“Can I do a big shout out to all the people who have got Big Brother parties tonight, because I know there are a lot,” he said. “And in particular, to the West Midlands LGBTQ Conservatives.”
The second part was met by ‘boos’ by the live studio audience.
