The UK’s groundbreaking queer dating show I Kissed A Boy is set to return to screens for season two this spring.
In a post on X/Twitter, the show’s network BBC Three teased that details of season two would be revealed this week.
“Heard you were ready for another hot queer summer? Keep your eyes peeled for all things #IKissedABoy this week,” the account shared.
The post was reshared by music legend and steadfast LGBTQ+ ally Danni Minogue, who has hosted the show since its inception in 2023.
Upon its release, I Kissed A Boy made history by becoming the UK’s first ever gay dating show. A spin-off series for queer women, I Kissed A Girl, premiered with season one in 2024.

The show sees ten queer people sent into a masseria in Italy, with the individuals paired up ahead of their arrival. Upon meeting, they immediately kiss, and then spend time getting to know each other and deciding whether they feel their romance can blossom.
Throughout their Mediterranean stay, new queer individuals arrive, often forming connections with those already in the masseria – and sometimes breaking up couples in the process.
Every few days, the couples engage in a “kiss off”, where they decide whether to kiss and remain coupled up, essentially saving themselves from being sent home.
Those who are unkissed after the kiss-off leave the masseria for good.
Speaking to PinkNews last year, Minogue revealed why it was so important to her that I Kissed A Boy and I Kissed A Girl treated its contestants with respect.
“It had to be done right,” she said, revealing that she “absolutely grilled” the BBC producers behind the show to make sure it was created ethically.
“You could imagine what my life would be like, if I’ve had such a great relationship with the queer community, then suddenly I make [a] show that’s terrible or treated anyone badly,” she explained.
“I wasn’t gonna risk friendships and a lifetime of this amazing relationship with the community to do something like that.”
I Kissed A Boy season two will return to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer this Spring.
