Arnold Schwarzenegger had the perfect reaction to his son’s involvement in that scene in The White Lotus.
The star of The Terminator films responded to a behind-the-scenes picture shared by his son Patrick, who plays Saxon Ratliff in the HBO series.
Episode two of the third season of the show, which began airing in February, featured a jaw-dropping incest scene between brothers Saxon and Lochlan (Sam Nivola).
Saxon is seen strutting around a hotel room in Thailand, while his fully nude brother is loading up pornography on a computer. The brothers share a drunken kiss and enjoy a threesome with fellow hotel resident Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) in later episodes.
According to the show’s stars and creatives, the shocking moment will lead to a necessary and “satisfying” end.
Reflecting on whether the plot has gone “too far”, as some social media users feel it has, The White Lotus producer David Bernad told the New York Post that the scenes aren’t “just for shock”.
“There’s a specific reason in terms of the narrative storytelling, and the larger thematic idea Mike is trying to get across,” he said. “…As the season wraps up, you’ll see the purpose of that story turn. The show goes there for a larger thematic idea. I love that family storyline, especially the brother story — and, it culminates in a very satisfying way.”
Patrick took to X/Twitter on Monday (24 March) to share a picture of the pair during what appears to be the filming of episode seven in which they’re swapping underpants with each other.

Fans of both Arnie, who was the Republican governor of California between 2003 and 2011, and The White Lotus clearly enjoyed over the post, with several users responding with crying-laughing emojis, while others described the reaction as “priceless”.
Episode seven of The White Lotus is due to air in the UK on Sky Atlantic on Monday (31 March), from 9pm and will be available to watch on Now, Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.
